Historical places and cultures are the basis of any nation’s identity. If any nation lost its culture, then it lost its identity. Historical places remind us of the memory of our heritage’s hard work and sacrifices. Therefore, I will discuss some historical places in Lahore.

Lahore is a city name in Pakistan. It is also the capital of Punjab. Here are our heritage assets and places. Lahore is famous all over the world. The visitors come here from every country in Lahore. Lahore is also famous as a business city. So, everything in the world can be found here.

Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan is a famous tower that exists in Lahore Iqbal Park.  The All-India Muslim League passed the Resolution of Pakistan on March 23, 1940. This resolution was held in Lahore, and then the decision was taken to build the Minar-e-Pakistan tower.

This tower construction was about eight years old (1960–1968). This tower opened to the public in the same year.  Its length is 70 meters from the ground to the top. This tower reminds us of our heroes who did not refuse their own lives for Pakistan.

Badshahi Mosque

Badshahi Mosque is a very famous mosque. Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb constructed this mosque in his presence. In this mosque, around 1 Lac people can pray at a time.

 It is also situated in the Iqbal Park of Lahore. Many visitors come to see this mosque. This mosque has the Holy Quran written by gold wire. Moreover, there are many holy assets. It was the world’s largest mosque till 1986.

Lahore Fort is very famous all over the world. People come to this fort from all over the world. It spreads over 20-hectare area. This fort has 21 monuments in the same places. This fort describes the splendor and majesty of the Mughal Emperor. It knows the name of Shahi Qila.

The Lahore Museum is famous all over the world. It is one of the biggest historical places to visit. This museum was established in Tollinton Market in 1864 for the Punjab Exhibition.  But after the British Council, it shifted its current location to “The Mall”.

Here are the many historical items for the exhibition. These historical things are divided into many types according to their heritage.

Shalimar Garden

Shalimar Garden is one of the famous historical places that exist in Lahore. Shah Jahan constructed this garden in 1642. It is spread over a 16-hectare area. Its beauty is very glamorous. There are various types of trees in the Shalimar garden.

In 1984, According to UNESCO, Mostly people spent their time in this garden due to its beauty and grass. So, when people go to Lahore, they visit this garden.

Data Ali Hajvery Tomb

Data Ali Hajvery Tomb is a famous place in Lahore. When the people go to Lahore, they go to the Data Ali Hajvery Tomb, which is compulsory. In this tomb, the holy personality is buried.

All over the world, people know this personality by the name of Data Ganj Bakhsh Ali Hajvery.  They are very great theologians and Sufi people.

Anar Kali Bazar

Anar Kali Bazar is a very famous place in Lahore. This bazaar’s name is based on the name of the courtesan girl, Anar Kali. It is a 200-year-old bazaar. Now, this bazaar is divided into two bazaars, one of which is Old Anar Kali and the other is New Anar Kali.

Old Anar Kali Bazaar is famous for its traditional foods. The second one is famous due to its traditional handicraft and embroidery.

Wagah Border

Wagah Border is the most famous place in Lahore. It is an international border between Pakistan and India. One side of the border is Lahore, Pakistan, and the other side is Amritsar city of India.

This border is 24 kilometers from Lahore and 32 kilometers from Amritsar. The border ceremony is held each day by both countries sides.
